Client Critiques
So..... Myself and a lot of co-workers decided to make these helicopters component of our down time while more than right here in the middle of nowhere... We have many about the shop ideal now, and I purchased this one particular...... the other guys all spent about $20 on theirs.... the Syma 107, 108 and 109... that's the Sport, Cobra, and Apache... and I spent $40 on this one when it was on sale (now it's $50). This ones handling does not even come close to comparing to theirs... I read up extra on the reviews, and for some purpose absolutely everyone says it's wonderful, but I'm thinking they've just in no way tried the Symas. I even ordered an additional knuckle that holds the stabilizer bar to the leading rotor, (only came with one particular), in hopes that it can make it alot more stable and manageable.. it didn't... Also, just after crashing about 15 occasions, the tail rotor snapped off at the bottom of the curve... I superglued it back on about four times, and then drilled holes on either side of the crack and security wired it back on, and superglued once again :) gotta say, it has held up well soon after all the crashes, and it is manageable to fly, and IT SHOOTS MISSLES which is the important benefit more than the Symas........... but general.... the Symas are without a doubt much more agile, and very easily controlled (three I named anyways), and the batteries final a little longer, and they are WAY quieter, and for less than half the price tag, I consider I would have just gone with one particular of those.
I upped it to a 4 star, only for the reason that it has withstood a important beating, and it shoots missles. It did need the repair of the tail rotor tho, and it doesn't handle as excellent as it will need to for the cost. and it is loud.
I owned the Syma 108 just before I bought this one particular. My review will compare between the two.
Cons:
1)Compared to Syma this one particular flies like a fat cow. Rotating left and right is quite responsive but forward and reverse takes like 5 seconds to kick in immediately after you move the control which is really annoying and prone to crashes. The altitude adjustment response is also poor.
2)This one particular is a lot noisier. Sounds like a flying lawnmower.
3)Also the left throttle utilized to manage altitude is not spring loaded to throttle down when released like Syma which makes it harder to control the altitude. (A little workaround of tying a rubber band to the throttle stick and anchoring the other finish on the bottom of the controller helped. This keeps the tension on the throttle in the downward path, which automatically pulls the throttle down when you release. This assists manage the altitude considerably superior.)
four)Practically double the value of Syma.
Pros:
1)Fires Missiles!
Not so entertaining for my cat but super enjoyable for me. I'm planing to modify the mechanism to hopefully squirt water as an alternative.
I wish the Syma had this option.
two)Nicely constructed. The materials utilised to make this a single feel alot more solid then the Syma.
