Getting pretty a lot mastered the co-axial,S107 I decided to attempt out the Air Max 9103 fixed pitch Heli. This copter is a full distinctive animal. It's pretty aggresive compared to the S107 but not nearly as stable and percise. I do not know if I got a negative heli, but to get started out the LED light was not working. My first flight, it took off and hit the leading of the garage door and slammed to the floor. The plastic Head cover broke as properly as the cabin lock which holds the head cover in place. The heli took off so quick that it didn't even give me a opportunity to trim it out. Glued the head cover as well as the cabin lock and tried once more. The heli is extremely unstable as it tends to drift to the side. I have the rudder stick all the way forward and it doesn't go anyplace. When i hit the left or right rudder, it desires to orbit pretty fast. If you don't have sufficient space in your house, you will be crashing it regularly. I am a tiny disappointed in this heli as i thought that it would be as stable and more quickly than the S107 but it's just more quickly, no where close to as stable. I would save my income.
I purchased this as step up from Syma 111g, 102G 107g. I was thinking that it be a great deal more of a challenge and a lot more fun than the other Symas I have. It was challenge alright! Wild ideal from commence. Could not do something indoors so I went outside. I could get it the air but other than throttle I had no control. So I tried it outside and it crashed on the pavement smashing the canopy and one of the anchor pins for the canopy. After that I decided to move back indoors and try in the garage. Right after studying what people did on the DH 9103's the large brother the DH 9100 I adjusted the swash-plate to give it improved forward movement and began to make some progress. I found that you have to pre-adjust the trim settings to compensate for the 9103's tendency to spin counter clockwise all the time and trim the speed down also becasue the major motor and tail motors are 2X as potent than your 107G's. Immediately after performing pre-trimming (the remote does not don't forget your settings btw). Following that I lastly got it to hover! It flew quite great following that. I was beginning to get good at it but it just had too lots of actually tough crashes and the prop blade pivot pins broke inside the hub so then I was accomplished. This is 1 tough heli though. Considering that my heli came it the reddish copper color I ordered new blade set from some place in China. Nobody had that color in USA. Yellow ones are trendy but not my color! So I am waiting for my blades, two canopies, canopy anchors, prop hub and extra swashplate. I guess i will commence more than once more. The correct trick with this issue is adjust swashplate so it flies forward greater and not backwardsish and pre-trim controls. Appears consumers who have bought the larger DH9100 flew appropriate out the box better than this one.The DH9103 is practically the identical only smaller.
