Consumer Critiques
This is the exact same item as Helizone Combat Fighter 3 Channel Gyro Missile Shooting RC Helicopter but is sold $20.00 cheaper. Go figure. I've purchased both.
Here is the evaluation:
I own various helicopters and they are all entertaining to fly in numerous techniques. Other reviewers have written excellent guides about Syma, and I won't waste your time by reiterating what they have said, but I think the Syma helicopters are greater in terms of control sensitivity - My Symas appear to have at least 3 distinct forward/back and rotate speeds, and this has two that I can tell. The missile function is hugely fun. Two cardboard cutouts of tanks are supplied as targets. Wind from the rotors can knock them down, so maintain a bit of distance. Effective straight line range of the missiles is about three feet, but it is also entertaining to "bomb" a target from a height.
The controller is fairly well constructed, with the missiles getting triggered from buttons located where your left and correct index fingers naturally sit at the shoulders of the controller. A nice touch is the speed manage button, which limits speed to about 1/two - beneficial for beginners.
My principal gripes with this helicopter is the fact that it is really noisy, and the sort of plastic utilised for the physique shell is slightly brittle - I managed to crack the nose (a pretty minor point, and does not influence the flying). On the other hand, in a really spectacular crash I managed to bend the rotor shaft, causing vibration and a great deal more noise. Spare parts are on the market from the web site listed in the instruction manual, but are somewhat pricey when compared to your initial investment ($6.00 per element of the rotor shaft, plus shipping). Right here are my observations on this helicopter:
Pros
1) Missiles add a entire new dimension of entertaining
2) Terrific value for the value
3) Entertaining and stable to fly
four) The rotor throttle manage (controls up/down) is not spring loaded
5) Can charge from controller or the USB charging cable that is included
6) Fairly durable
7) Spare parts are readily offered
Cons
1) Plastic shell is even more brittle than Syma helicopters
2) A lot noisier than the Syma 108 and 109
three) Spare parts are reasonably pricey compared to the initial outlay
I bought this toy for my 10 year son. He LOVES playing with it, infact it was the very first Christmas gift he opened. He spent particularly tiny time understanding how to control the helicopter. Infact he figured it out particularly swiftly. Additional blades are supplied so if a blade cracks or breaks, it can be replaced.
